"Guide to: Tests and When You Like Someone Who Is Going Out With Someone Else" is a season 3 episode of Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide.

Plot[]

Part 1: Tests[]

Sweeney, iTeacher and Mr. Pal are each giving an exam on Thursday and Ned is freaked out about it. Cookie is still forcibly dating Evelyn, who gives him three minutes to talk to Ned and Moze. Cookie and Moze are both no help for Ned, since Cookie loves tests, and Moze is doing a magazine quiz. Moze asks Ned and Cookie why they hang out, since they're opposites. They both say they keep each other centered, but Ned is still stressing about the tests. Cookie tells him to breathe, and Ned just runs off. Cookie looks at the magazine quiz Moze is doing and realizes she's comparing Faymen and Ned to see who is better for her.

Cookie gets an idea and decides to give both him and Evelyn a compatibility test. He tells her it's for her benefit too, so she can see if she's better suited for Cookie or, say, Seth. Evelyn admits that Seth is every girl's dream date, but she's fine settling for Cookie. Cookie says they have nothing in common, but Evelyn says they both like tests and are both smart. Green is their favorite color, too.

Ned is trying to study for his tests, when Sweeney comes around and tells him to focus on science. He tells Ned he'll need at least a 95 on the exam to get a B in science. When Ned switches to studying for science, iTeacher shows up and tells him to study for English. But when he switches to English, Mr. Pal walks by and Ned switches to social studies, finally collapsing under the weight of his books. Gordy picks up back up, but Ned is refusing to give up. He decides to become the opposite of Ned, a.k.a. Cookie.

Cookie gives Ned his glasses, which point him to a classroom. He meets Albert Wormenheimer with a group, who are called the Genius Exam Enthusiast Klub. They not only help him prepare for his tests but also make him over into a geek. When Moze is still going through her magazine quiz, she sees Faymen hanging out with cool people and glimpses Ned with the G.E.E.K.s, which marks him down on her quiz.

For their compatibility quiz, Cookie has Evelyn do some of the same crazy stunts he did. One of them is sinking a basketball from a trampoline, which she actually does perfectly. Seth sees her do it and says it was amazing. Turns out, green is his favorite color, too.

The next day, Moze rates Faymen and Ned's clothes. Since Ned is still with the G.E.E.K.s, he gets marked down. Ned is immediately swarmed by the G.E.E.K.s for a pre-class study session, saying they take breaks after they ace their tests. Faymen says all the questions Moze has been asking him sound like they're from a teen magazine. Moze laughs this off and continues with her quiz, with Faymen giving seemingly perfect answers compared to Ned's. In Cookie's compatibility test, he uses Rorschach blots, but all Evelyn sees in them is Cookie. Seth even sees Cookie in one of them. In a fit of desperation, Cookie reverts to P. Cookie because Evelyn can't dress as cool. Evelyn shows up dressed in sweatsuits, and surprises Cookie by dating Seth. Seth says they have a surprising amount in common, and Evelyn says Seth doesn't make her take compatibility tests. Cookie is stunned, but at least he's free of Evelyn.

Moze is tallying up Ned and Faymen's scores, and Faymen wins by a mile, with Ned scoring zero for all questions. When Faymen shows up with flowers for Moze, she tosses her magazine on a cart of library books. Coconut Head takes the magazine, but then says he hates it and kicks it away. It lands, open on Moze's quiz, right at Ned's feet, just as Ned sees that he aced all of his tests. Albert gives Ned a G.E.E.K. membership card, but Ned sees the quiz and realizes why Moze was asking all those questions. Faymen gave Moze his Brazilian love rock necklace, making them official. Ned realizes what just happened, while Albert says that G.E.E.K.s never get the girl, not until they're in their 30's and rich. Ned doesn't seem to like that news.

Part 2: When You Like Someone Who Is Going Out with Someone Else[]

Moze is happily wearing Faymen's necklace, and Ned is spying on her with help from Gordy. Gordy asks Ned what's going on with him and Moze. Ned says he's known Moze practically his whole life, since they grew up next door from each other. Ned's story drags on for hours, leading Gordy to have Ned skip to the end. Ned shows him the magazine quiz, and says he's confused about whether he likes Moze or not. Gordy tries to get rid of his confusion by having him say, "Suzie is gone forever and I like Moze." It takes a few more hours, but Ned does eventually say it. But now he has to deal with Moze dating Faymen.

Gordy tells Ned he has to break Moze and Faymen up. He makes Gordy swear not to tell Moze he likes her, because it could ruin their friendship if she doesn't like him back. Then, he makes Gordy find out if Moze likes him. When Gordy talks to Moze, she's reluctant at first, especially since he failed the magazine quiz, but she thinks she likes him. But Moze makes Gordy swear not to tell Ned, for the same reason Ned didn't want Gordy to tell Moze he likes her. Cookie asks Lisa out for pizza, but because she's so booked, their date won't be until next month. Cookie goes to Ned for tips but instead decides to eliminate Lisa's dates to free up her social calendar.

Ned tries being a "vice boyfriend" to Moze, but she runs off, still confused between the two boys. In Crubbs' office, Faymen gets a call from home, saying he made the Brazilian Junior National Soccer Team. He is suddenly torn between soccer and Moze and doesn't know which one to pick. He lets Moze decide which one to pick. When he leaves, a mysterious figure arrives, only seen from the back of their head, and Crubbs asks what they're doing here.

Faymen tells Moze about the Brazilian Junior National Team, and Moze is surprised that Faymen wants her to choose for him. He needs to give the coach an answer by the end of the day, so Moze has until 2:30 to decide. Gordy relays this information to Ned, who decides to go find Moze. He grabs some flowers from outside, but is stung by a bee, causing his lips to swell. He can't speak clearly enough for Moze to understand him, and Nurse Hunsucker drags him to her office. Cookie finds Lisa, who's free as a bird, and offers to carry her books to her class and be her study date, while the boys she had plans with are locked out.

Ned is released from Nurse Hunsucker's office after being given an antihistamine, but she warns him he might get drowsy. Right when Ned is about to tell Moze how he feels, he falls asleep and is dragged back into Nurse Hunsucker's office. When Lisa and Cookie finish their study date, Lisa notices there's no one waiting by her locker, and wonders if something's wrong with her. Lisa thinks they don't want to be friends with her anymore, and Cookie, feeling guilty, goes off to free the guys he trapped.

Gordy finds Ned asleep in Nurse Hunsucker's office, with only five minutes until 2:30. Ned leaps out of bed and into the hallway but is trampled by guys running to Lisa's locker. Gordy grabs Ned and had Cookie follow him. They put Ned in an empty classroom and see Moze and Faymen in the courtyard below them. Gordy tells Cookie how he can't say anything to Moze about Ned liking her, and Ned can't say it himself. Cookie tells him he can write it down. Gordy launches a paper at Moze, saying, "Ned likes you!" Moze grabs it and reads it. She abruptly tells Faymen to go, and he cheers, but he explains about it, which Moze says she completely understands. Gordy and Cookie wake Ned up in celebration and tell him to go find Moze. Ned and Moze begin walking through the school separately to meet each other with everyone cheering them on. Just as they find each other, the mysterious figure in Crubbs' office turns out to be Suzie Crabgrass, who has transferred back to Polk Middle School.
